Samantha Womack stars in this enthralling stage adaptation of the best-selling novel by Paula Hawkins, The Girl On the Train, which transfers to the West End's Duke of York's Theatre following successful runs around the UK. Tickets are now on sale.
The novel revolves around three women and their individual troubles, whether it be relationships or binge drinking, and was told from the perspective of three different women: Rachel, Anna, and Megan. It was adapted into a film in 2014 starring Emily Blunt, and focussed on Rachel who was caught up in a missing persons case.
Following a UK tour in 2019, The Girl On the Train will come to London starring Samantha Womack at the Duke of York's Theatre from 23rd July to 17th August.
Adapted by Rachel Wagstaff and Duncan Abel, the production will be directed by Anthony Banks.
Samantha Womack is best-known for playing Ronnie Mitchell in the BBC soap EastEnders, and has also appeared on stage in Guys and Dolls at the Piccadilly Theatre, South Pacific at the Barbican and Hope at the Royal Court.
