Michael Frayn's hilarious comedy Noises Off returns to the West End as Jeremy Herrin's side-splitting revival transfers to the West End from the Lyric Hammersmith, where it premiered in 1982. Tickets for the West End transfer are on sale now.
Set during the rehearsals, backstage during a performance, and then during a calamitous show, Noises Off chronicles the hilarious slapstick capers of a touring cast of a farcical fictitious play, Nothing On. As the cast get closer during the course of the tour, scandal and affair pushes them to breaking point, which boils over and spills onto the stage.
This iconic play, which transfers to the Garrick Theatre in the West End on 27th September, will star Meera Syal as Dotty alongside Daniel Rigby, Lloyd Owen and Simon Rouse.
Frayn's comedy debuted at the Lyric Hammersmith in the 80s, and has since enjoyed a number of revivals both in London and on Broadway, cementing itself as a timeless British classic of farce.
This exuberant new production is directed by Jeremy Herrin (All My Sons, Wolf Hall, This House), and transfers to the Garrick Theatre following rave reviews from critics when it opened at the Lyric in July 2019.
Noises Off tickets at the Garrick Theatre are available now.
