The Arcola Theatre was founded in 2000, opening in east London. The Arcola Theatre aims to bring world drama and bold new productions of classic plays to a newer, younger audience. Over 65,000 theatregoers visit the Arcola Theatre each year. Stars that have performed and had their work shown at the Arcola Theatre include Arinze Kene, Zawe Ashton and Mike Bartlett. As part of the Arcola's future, they aim to be the world’s first carbon-neutral theatre.
