Boulevard Theatre

Boulevard Theatre

Address:
6 Walker's Court, London, W1F 0BT

The Boulevard Theatre is unlikely to reopen as a producing theatre. They state that: "It is with a hugely heavy heart that due to the unprecedented effects that Covid-19 has had on the theatre industry and our local area of Soho, the Boulevard will have to remain closed until it is economically viable and safe to open our doors again. The Boulevard was in its infancy as a company, which brings about its own challenges, but coupled with the uncertainty surrounding when theatres can re-open to full capacity and the difficulty in viably operating a small venue in a Covid-secure manner, we are left with no choice but to remain closed."

The Boulevard Theatre opened in Soho in 2019 and has a seating capacity of 165. The auditorium can be used flexibly to accommodate all types of productions. Discover more about the Boulevard Theatre here

The original Boulevard Theatre site began as a sister venue to the Raymond Revuebar, running under the same name, and providing additional bar and restaurant facilities alongside gaming tables. It later became a small theatre in its own right, known as the ‘Elle et Lui’ theatre.

Previously, the Boulevard Theatre was home to erotica, stand-up comedy and straight plays, and famously known as the home of Peter Richardson’s Comic Strip which launched the careers of many household names. Now, the Boulevard features wide programming, led by artistic director Rachel Edwards.
