The Finborough Theatre was founded in 1980, and is above a pub in Earl's Court, London. Neil McPherson serves as artistic director at the Finborough Theatre, which concentrates on new writing and works which are hidden gems. The Finborough Theatre is unfunded. Plays at the Finborough Theatre have gone on to tour the UK, the USA and Canada.
The Finborough Theatre also works with talent schemes, in partnership with the National Theatre Studio, and the Cameron Mackintosh Resident Composer scheme, facilitated by Mercury Musical Developments and Musical Theatre Network.
