Jacksons Lane
Jacksons Lane is a multi-arts venue housed in a striking red-brick gothic church conversion, the building is home to a 160 capacity theatre, a large scale dance and rehearsal studio, a cafe-bar and four other multi-purpose spaces.
The building opened in 1905 as the Highgate Wesleyan Methodist Church. By the early 1970s, the church was closed and unoccupied, so it became a theatre space for the local community.
The new theatre opened in the 1980s, with technical theatre training courses too. Eddie Izzard began his comedy career at Jacksons Lane, and it was also home to early performances by David Walliams and Matt Lucas.
