Jason Donovan to play Teen Angel in ‘Grease’

He’ll star in select performances at the Dominion Theatre.

Jason Donovan will return to the West End this summer as Teen Angel in Grease. He’ll play Teen Angel at select performances of Grease from 29 June. Grease is at the Dominion Theatre from 3 May, and Grease tickets are on sale now.

Donovan played Scott Robinson in the Australian soap opera, Neighbours, throughout the 1980s. In the West End, he played the title role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and his rendition of ‘Any Dream Will Do’ landed in the UK charts. Donovan returned to Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the London Palladium in 2019 and 2021, playing the Pharaoh.

Peter Andre will also star in Grease at the Dominion Theatre this summer as Vince Fontaine. The Grease cast is led by Dan Partridge as Danny and Olivia Moore as Sandy. The Pink Ladies include Jocasta Almgill as Rizzo, Mary Moore as Jan, Lizzy-Rose Esin-Kelly as Marty and Eloise Davies as Frenchie. The Burger Palace Boys include Paul French as Kenickie, Noah Harrison as Roger, Jake Reynolds as Doody and Damon Gould as Sonny.

Jessica Croll plays Patty Simcox, with Katie Lee as Cha Cha, Ronan Burns as Johnny Casino and Corinna Powlesland as Miss Lynch. Darren Bennett will play Officer Mailie and Vince Fontaine at certain performances. They are joined by Jack Harrison-Cooper, Pearce Barron, Ben Culleton, Rishard-Kyro Nelson, Ellie Kingdon, Kamilla Fernandes, Remi Ferdinand, Kalisha Johnson, Zack Guest, Imogen Bailey, Kevin O’Dwyer and Carly Miles.

Grease follows Danny and Sandy, high school sweethearts who are reunited at Rydell High for their senior year. The Grease musical features songs such as "Hopelessly Devoted to You," "Greased Lightnin'", and "Summer Nights." Find out more about Grease in London.

The Grease creative team includes direction by Nikolai Foster, choreography by Arlene Phillips, scenic design by Colin Richmond, lighting design by Ben Cracknell and sound design by Tom Marshall and Richard Brooker.

Grease is at the Dominion Theatre.
