There's not long to wait until the spectacular spectacular that is Moulin Rouge! The Musical opens in London. It's been 20 years since audiences fell in love with Satine and Christian at the Parisian club, complete with luxurious scenery and a glorious soundtrack that changed the genre of musical films forevermore. Now, its musical counterpart is set to do the same for West End theatre, but who will be tasked with portraying such iconic characters?

Who is in Moulin Rouge! The Musical in London?

The full West End cast of Moulin Rouge: The Musical was announced in September 2021, and leading man Jamie Bogyo will be making his West End debut as Christian. There's also Olivier Award-nominated stars in Moulin Rouge! The Musical too, as well as an exciting ensemble that's sure to have us imagining we're in Paris.  Discover the original London cast of Moulin Rouge! The Musical with us. Moulin Rouge! The Musical is at the Piccadilly Theatre from 12 November, and Moulin Rouge! The Musical tickets are on sale now.

Jamie Bogyo, Christian

After graduating from Yale University with a BA in Theatre Studies and a concentration in playwriting, Jamie Bogyo decided to pursue a career on the stage, rather than writing productions. Bogyo then trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA), graduating in 2019 with a BA in Acting.

Even though Moulin Rouge! The Musical will mark Bogyo's West End debut, he's appeared in numerous productions, including Miss Julie, This Is Our Youth and Into the Woods as Rapunzel's Prince. And while at college, Bogyo sung as part of The Whiffenpoofs, a Yale aca pella group whose alumni includes Anything Goes composer Cole Porter. We're sure listening to Bogyo play Christian in Moulin Rouge! The Musical will be anything but agony.
