The Orange Tree Theatre opened on 31 Dec. 1971 in the upstairs room of the Orange Tree pub near to Richmond Station. In 1991, the theatre moved across the road from the pub. All productions in the Orange tree are performed in the round. Over 70,000 people see a production from the Orange Tree Theatre annually, and the theatre is a registered charity, assisting with work in and for the local community.
