Ralph Fiennes to star in West End premiere of T. S. Eliot’s ‘Four Quartets’

Performances begin at the Harold Pinter Theatre in November.

Following a world premiere tour earlier this year, Ralph Fiennes will star in the West End premiere of T. S. Eliot's Four Quartets. Fiennes directs the production too, with performances at the Harold Pinter Theatre from 18 November 18 December.

The Nobel Prize winner T. S. Eliot was considered one of the greatest poets of the 20th century. Four Quartets is typically considered to be his masterpiece, consisting of four poems: Burnt Norton, East Coker, Dry Salvages and Little Gidding. Written during WWII, Four Quartets are a series of reflective works after surviving periods of national crisis.

Further works by T. S. Eliot include The Waste Land and Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, which went on to inspire Cats.

Ralph Fiennes returns to the London stage, after recent performances in Beat the Devil at the Bridge Theatre. He has worked extensively in theatre, including Richard III and The Master Builder, as well as a Tony-winning performance as Hamlet.

The Four Quartets team includes scenic design by Hildegard Bechtler, lighting design by Tim Lutkin and sound design by Christopher Shutt. James Dacre serves as creative producer. Four Quartets began performances at Theatre Royal Bath in May, touring to venues across England.

Four Quartets is at the Harold Pinter Theatre from 18 November - 18 December.
