After reopening earlier this year, a new booking period for Tina the Musical at the Aldwych Theatre has been announced, with performances now to 18 Dec. 2022. Tina the Musical will also begin a new partnership with Refuge, a national domestic abuse charity that will celebrate 50 years since opening their first shelter.

On 10 October, a charity performance of Tina the Musical will take place, with alternate Tina Turner and Refuge supporter Chanel Haynes attending. Speaking about the partnership, Haines said: "After hearing [Tina Turner's] story, I vowed, I would use this opportunity to shine light on those that need it most. That's when I found Refuge. Refuge is a lighthouse, and I want to be one of God's daughters that fuels its flame."

Tina the Musical follows the public and private life of Tina Turner, who continued to be resilient in the face of racism and sexism, defying all odds to become a vocal sensation. Aisha Jawando continues in the role of Tina Turner in the jukebox musical, packed with Tina Turner songs including "Proud Mary" and "Nutbush City Limits."

Jammy Kasongo plays Ike Turner, with Joe Evans as Phil Spector and Terry Britten, Irene Myrtle Forrester as GG, Francesca Jackson and Alice Bailey Johnson as Rhonda Graam, Rhianne-Louise McCaulsky as Alline Bullock, Matt Mills as Richard Bullock, Posi Morakinyo as Raymond Hill, Garmon Rhys as Roger Davies, Joseph Richardson as Erwin Bach and Madeline Appiah as Zelma.

Tina the Musical is written by Katori Hall with Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins, with direction by Phyllida Lloyd. Anthony van Laast choreographs, with scenic and costume designs by Mark Thompson, lighting design by Bruno Poet and sound design by Nevin Steinberg.

Tina the Musical is at the Aldwych Theatre.
