Even though it's over a year since Life of Pi was originally scheduled to open in London, the full cast for the Life of Pi West End transfer has been named. Life of Pi is at the Wyndham's Theatre from 15 November.

As previously confirmed, Hiran Abeysekera will reprise the role of Pi. Mina Anwar plays Ma, with Nicholas Khan as Father, Payal Mistry as Rani, Tom Espiner as Father Martin and Commmander Grant-Jones, Raj Ghatak as Mamaji and Pandit-Ji, Syreeta Kumar as Mrs Biology Kumar and Zaida Khan, David K.S. Tse as Mr Okamoto, Kirsten Foster as Lulu Chen, Habib Nasib Nader as Cook and Voice of Tiger. Nuwah Hugh Perera is the Pi alternate, with Alex Chang and Deeivya Meir also in the Life of Pi cast.

The tiger puppet is brought to life by Fred Davis and Tom Larkin as the Tiger Head, Daisy Franks and Scarlet Wilderink as the Tiger Heart and Romina Hytten and Tom Stacy as the Tiger Hind.

Based on Yann Martel's award-winning novel of the same name, Life of Pi follows a sixteen boy who is the sole human survivor after a tragedy at sea. He's accompanied by a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan and a Royal Bengal tiger, and must embark on a journey to get back to shore.

Life of Pi received its world premiere at the Sheffield Crucible Theatre in 2019, and is adapted by Lolita Chakrabarti. Max Webster directs, with scenic and costume design by Tim Hatley, puppet and movement direction by Finn Caldwell, lighting design by Tim Lutkin and sound design by Carolyn Downing.

For Life of Pi, the Wyndham's Theatre will be refurbished to accommodate the full production. Find out more about theatre renovations in London here
