Pretty Woman: The Musical Information

Pretty Woman: The Musical is playing at the Savoy Theatre. Pretty Woman: The Musical tickets are available on London Theatre now.

Based on the classic film starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, Pretty Woman: The Musical tells the story of a chance encounter between sex worker Vivian Ward and businessman Edward Lewis. Edward invites Vivian to escort him to a number of events during his stay in Los Angeles. Through spending time together, their relationship develops as they get to know each other better.

The Pretty Woman movie went on to become the highest-grossing romantic comedy in the US ever, and its breakout song "Oh, Pretty Woman", as performed by Roy Orbison, became a hit. The Pretty Woman musical follows the film's storyline, thanks to a book by Garry Marshall and J.F. Lawton, and original music and lyrics by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance.

The Pretty Woman musical adaptation opened on Broadway in 2018 at the Nederlander Theatre. Andy Karl and Samantha Barks played Edward Lewis and Vivian Ward respectively. Pretty Woman London performances began at the Piccadilly Theatre on 13 Feb. 2020, however performances were cancelled a month in due to the pandemic. The show then reopened at the Savoy Theatre in July 2021.
