Jodie Comer On Stage - Theatre Credits, Bio and Tickets

Jodie Comer

Born in Liverpool in 1993, Jodie Comer is an award-winning television actress, best known for starring in Killing Eve. She made her West End debut in Prima Facie at the Harold Pinter Theatre

Growing up, Comer was often rehearsing and performing in local shows. But when she was kicked out of a local dance troupe due to being on holiday, she decided to perform a monologue and her acting career was born. As a teenager, she appeared in episodes of The Royal, Waterloo Road and a television adaptation of Lady Chatterley’s Lover. In 2015, she played Kate Parks in Doctor Foster opposite Suranne Jones, and was then cast as Ivy Moxam in Thirteen, earning a BAFTA nomination.

In 2018, Comer came to international attention when cast as Russian assassin Villanelle in Killing Eve. Episodes of Killing Eve are written by Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Cinderella’s Emerald Fennell. For her role as Villanelle, Comer has won an Emmy Award and a BAFTA Award.

Since Killing Eve fame, Comer has starred in the film Free Guy, alongside Ryan Reynolds. She’s also worked with A Christmas Carol playwright Jack Thorne on the TV drama Help, inspired by early lockdown days during the pandemic.

In 2020, Comer starred in the revival of Talking Heads, performing the monologue “Her Big Chance.” She did not star in the Talking Heads stage transfer at the Bridge Theatre. But in 2022, Comer made her highly-anticipated West End debut in Prima Facie at the Harold Pinter Theatre. Comer played Tessa, a barrister who deals with a tricky case.
